On May the 9th Beyonce and her hubby Jay Z , 45, took a strong stand against police brutality in the U.S. when they visited Mike Brown and Freddie Gray’s family. In addition to that the two were not hesitant to show their support of the two families who have become a household name in many American homes due to police violence and abuse. In addition to meeting up with 25-year old Freddie Gray, who is one of the most recent victims, Jay Z and Beyonce also spent some time with the mother of 18-year old Michael Brown, Lesley McSpadden.

Brown was shot by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. This just goes to show that the two, in addition to being the king and queen of the music industry, are also strong advocates for equal rights and peace in the country. Whether it’s in New York, Fergusson or even Baltimore the two, Jay Z and Beyonce, want to see that the country is in peace, to ensure that this becomes a reality the two are promoting peace and are encouraging others to do the same as well.

The two were joined by Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mom, and Alicia Keys, who is their friend as well as a business partner. The two spent quality time with the two families and even spared time to take photos with the two families so as to showcase their solidarity in fighting for peace and equality.
